Don't be intimidated by this subject, and don't be fooled by it. There are complicated concepts in this section, so let's go through them one by one.
The platform that operates all of the virtual machines is known as a hypervisor. I like to compare myself to a traffic cop. It regulates which virtual machines have access to which physical resources and directs the available resources. Type 1 hypervisors and Type 2 hypervisors are the two types of hypervisors. A Type 2 hypervisor, on the other hand, is a program that runs on a computer's operating system. VMware Workstation or Fusion on the Mac, Oracle's Virtualbox, and others are examples. Type 2 hypervisors communicate with the host operating system to negotiate and share physical resources between the host and the guest operating system or VM (virtual machine).
A virtual machine is a representation of a real computer. It starts up, runs an operating system, and has access to memory, CPU, network cards, and other resources allocated to it, exactly like a physical machine. Virtual Switching works in the same way that physical Switching does.
Network virtualization has been around for a long time. VRF, or virtual routing and forwarding, generates a virtual router instance on the router, an entirely different routing table. This lets a large company or ISP network have overlapping IP ranges in other portions of the network, limiting which networks can communicate with one another, ensuring that the overlapping does not cause a dispute.
Tunneling using GRE
Virtual networks are created across the internet using GRE tunnels and GRE tunnels wrapped with IPSec. While a packet may transit the public internet and have its TTL decremented, a packet traversing the tunnel only perceives it as a single hop any number of times.
LISP and VxLAN, on the other hand, are relatively new subjects. However, their significance is growing, and their use is becoming more prevalent and ubiquitous. The Locator/ID Separation Protocol, or LISP, separates subnets/prefixes from physical locations. As a result, an IP Address can be found anywhere on a network. While LISP is powerful in and of itself, it is also one of the underlying technologies in Cisco's SD-Access architecture, which is a topic in and of itself on the new CCNP blueprint, but more on that later.
VxLAN (Virtual Extensible Local Area Network) is the same way. In a nutshell, VxLAN encapsulates the whole L2 Frame while extending Layer 2 across Layer 3 boundaries. Extending data center subnets across different data centers, for example, allows services to existing in numerous physical places. This makes failover and the high availability of services more accessible. VxLAN, like LISP, is utilized in Cisco's SD-Access architecture. VxLAN is also included in Cisco's ACI Data Center SDN solution. VxLAN works effectively as part of these solutions, but it also works well on its own.

Cisco wireless architectures and AP modes

Where should I spend my time studying?
Network access comprises both wired and wireless network access products and technologies. VLANs, trunking, STP/RSTP, CDP/LLDP, and EtherChannels are among the principles, configuration, and verification for wired network access. You should have a thorough understanding of these technologies and configure and troubleshoot them on Cisco devices.
The wireless network access is the most minor but most crucial component. You should have a solid grasp of wireless network topologies and access and configure APs and WLCs to establish working wireless LANs.
The 200-301 CCNA test requires network access. It comprises both wired and wireless network access technologies. This section contains information on network and data path virtualization technologies. Approximately 66 percent of the content in this section is theoretical, with the remaining 33 percent requiring hands-on experience.
This section covers network fundamentals such as layer two and layer three technologies, wireless, and IP services. About half of the content in this area is theoretical, while the other half is practical.
This section covers network troubleshooting, device monitoring, NetFlow, SPAN, IP SLA, DNA Center, and the RESTCONF/NETCONF protocols. This section's content is entirely hands-on.
This section covers device access control, infrastructure security, REST API security, wireless security, and network security design techniques such as 802.1X and TrustSec. Approximately 40% of the content in this area is theoretical, while 60% is hands-on.
This part covers Python 101, JSON data encoding formats, data modeling languages, DNA Center APIs, EEM, and configuration management tools. Approximately 30% of the content in this area is theoretical, while 70% is hands-on.
When comparing the ENCOR test to the now-obsolete R&S written exam, you will see that it does not map smoothly section to section because Cisco has transferred the majority of the original "R&S" topics, such as L2/L3 technologies, onto the ENARSI 300-410 exam.
Exams for the CCNP Enterprise Concentration
To obtain CCNP Enterprise Infrastructure certification in the updated test format, you must pass ENCOR and one of the six Enterprise concentration exams listed below. All concentration exams are numbered in the 300 series. Therefore the ENAUTO exam is 300-535.
